My Jack-in-the-Pulpit quilt top is finally done!!!!

It is finally done. I sewed 12 hours yesterday and 5 hours already today to finally finish this top. I still have to baste it, quilt it and put the binding on. But first I have to remove all the paper off the back from paper piecing. The pattern suggested not to take the paper off until the top was done. The two shorter sides of flying geese were paper pieced. Even though I do love this technique because you get perfect flying geese, it is much more time consuming. Well, I'm not going keep you. I have more sewing to do.

Hugs

Ariane

Nice finish on the top, you have a beautiful quilt in the making. At my LQS I purchased a gadget that helps you make perfect flying geese without paper piecing. Your flying geese make a gorgeous border.

It's just beautiful! What an accomplishment. I hope that the paper removal process isn't too tedious. I put my spiderweb blocks together before removing the paper and it helped a lot but did make paper removal harder. I suppose you already know the spray bottle hint. That definitely helped me!

it is amazing how two colours can make such a wonderful quilt. I hope to get three hours in tonight and will be happy with that. It is my one wish for my birthday that I get a whole day to sew with no interuptions or to drive anyone anywhere!! fingers crossed because it is next week!!

That has turned out fabulously well! It's quite large, what size are the blocks?
