RSC 17 week 8, aqua/blue green/teal

Hi all,

I finally got a chance to work on some Rainbow Scrap Challenge blocks in the February colours of aqua/blue green/teal.

I made four more 16 patch variation blocks. These are 12.5 inch blocks.
I really love these blocks, and they look great with the purple ones.
I also made a few more 3.5 inch spool blocks. I'm way behind on these as I want 30 in each colour of the month. I do have a bunch cut and ready to sew. I just need a chance to get to it.
I made some plus blocks too! These are cute 6.5 inch blocks.

So, once I'm done working on my En Provence quilt, I'll make more spool blocks. I finished quilting my En Provence quilt last night. It just needs to be trimmed and bound.

You have been busy! I like the fabric choices on the plus blocks. There is so much movement in them.

Those blocks are beautiful. They sure look like a lot of tedious work. You are doing a good job on them.

Wow! And I was happy with myself just for getting the top of my EP done... 8) Well done, you, to be at the binding stage!
All your blocks are beautiful! And I'm surprised how much I like the teal and purple mixed together like that - not a combination that I would have thought of, but your blocks are playing quite happily together.
I'm sewing spools, too, though just as a leader/ender type project. Along with my other leader/enders, of course - the hourglasses and the four-patches. (And anything else that comes along, I fear.)

Your RSC Blocks look great. I'm looking forward to seeing En Provence quilted and I'm sure you'll catch up on your spool blocks. I like your plus blocks too. That scrap bucket of yours must have a dent in it by now.

I like the secondary pattern in cream that forms with those first blocks.

I'm hand quilting now on my little spools (in my BIG quilt). I love them.

I might have to make some of those Plus blocks. (I just wrote that down).

You were busy! I love those 16 patch variation blocks - who knew teal and purple would work so well together?! When I was making spool blocks a few years ago, I put the cut pieces next to my sewing machine and used them as leader-ender bits. It didn't take long to build up a big stash of them!

I love your 16-patch variation blocks! They are going to make a fantastic quilt. And your tiny spools are cute and gave me a great idea for next year's RSC! You had a very productive month - congrats!!
