So, I managed to get my Rocky Road to Kansas quilt top done. I added a very scrappy string border to it! It really makes for a bright quilt. But I like it!
This is a terrible picture because it was night time and the lighting in my house is not the best. I feel good about using all those scraps of fabric. Barely made a dent in my scrap bin, but that's okay.
I keep seeing so many varieties of this quilt and I love yours, and the border really works well. Maybe one of these years I'll settle down and do one! It looks very time consuming, was it?

Very awesome! I do love the scrappy border!
Ack, i'm clearly a post or two behind with your progress on this. But this looks great! Congrats!
and here's the proof!
Excellent choice of border. A scrappy quilt needs a scrappy border - anything else would be boring.
Oh, my! Love the scrappiness of this quilt!
Yay! Great job
Loved this quilt when I saw it without the border, but with the border "WOW"! It's wonderful, good choice.
