A finished quilt: Arkansas Crossroads

Hi everyone,

I finally finished my Arkansas Crossroads quilt.
I started making the blocks for this quilt in January 2017, as part of the Rainbow Scrap Challenge.
Every month I made 4 blocks in the monthly colour.
I made 5 blocks in December for a total of 49 blocks.
I added a 9 patch border.
The quilt finished at approximately 96” square.

I really love how it turned out.
I had it long arm quilted by Tammy Spencer with an all over swirl design.
It looks perfect.

It’s a really big quilt.

It’s almost too big for a queen.

I love it though! It really brightens up a room!

I hope you like it!!

Well, I don’t like it - I LOOOOOVE it! LOL. What a great finish. And I love that you used a variety of neutrals for the background and borders. It’s a pin-worthy (and copy-the-idea-worthy) finish. Congrats!

What a beauty, and I love your ninepatch border. I might want to copy this idea for a future year in the RSC.

A wonderfully colorful finish, Ariane. The nine patch border is just the right touch for framing all those blocks. Congrats on a fine finish.

Congrats on a gorgeous finish! I remember when you were making those blocks. It's always fun to see what becomes of everyone's RSC projects.

Big quilt and wonderfully colorful. How big is each of your 16 patch? Did you snowball your corners for the crossroads section? I have a bunch of 16 patch in a drawer and seeing your project has made me want to finish mine.

I just saw this quilt in an American Patchwork & Quilting magazine. It was done with mixed scrappy colors and I really want to make it. It is on my list! I love the way your colors are used as well.
