Hi everyone,
I'm so glad to have finally finished this quilt.
I even got the hanging sleeve done.
I love how this quilt turned out.
This quilt is my original design. I started it in October of 2016. When I started making it I didn't have a plan. I just kept adding rounds and designing them as I went. At some point I made myself a drawing of it on graph paper and continued on with my design as I had drawn it. I'm really proud of how the colours worked together and that I used my fabric scraps to make it.
I quilted it with a swirl design on my Janome 1600p.
I had some tension issues while quilting. I didn't notice it right away and ended having to remove a lot of the quilting and redo it. That was a pain. But, I got it done.
I used a large scale print on the back. I got the backing for $3.88/meter.
It was a steal.
I hope you like it. I'm pretty proud of this quilt.

Your quilt is a triumph and definitely magazine worthy. Love it to bits and you should be well chuffed with your efforts. That backing fabric suits it to a tee. Such a great price. I'm in awe of your quilt making - you have a keen eye for colour, placement and overall pattern.
What a fun and colourful quilt! Lots of memories in all this scraps too. Well don with the colours, the design and the quilting! Wonderful finish!
Gorgeous quilt! I Love it. Great finish.
You can justifiably be proud of this design. It's beautiful!
Wonderful quilt. The 2 light and 2 dark outside corner sections remind me of the season changes which plays well with the maple leaves.
You should be proud! That's one awesome, beautiful, gorgeously scrappy quilt! Congrats on the finish! (And I feel your pain...I'm ripping out some quilting on a quilt I thought I had almost finished quilting, darn it.)
Ariane, your quilt is beautiful - definitely something to be proud of! I love the rainbow scrappiness of it!

LOVE your newly completed rainbow quilt. Nice work!!
Wow so pretty. I love it!
Beautiful quilt! It is quite an accomplishment to design and put together a quilt of your own. I really like how the brights are in two corners and the darks in the others.
What a wonderful quilt! Love how the colors draw your eye around the quilt to see the next cute block or detail. Congrats on a wonderful fun design and finish.
Well, of course you're proud of this quilt - you should be! Your plan worked out beautifully!

Congratulations! I love this quilt too. You should be very proud of yourself. This design is awesome. Will you write the pattern and sell it to a magazine? You could because it is that great looking. Awesome work! ;^)
Beautiful quilt! Well done you! Your efforts have paid off handsomely.
What a gorgeous quilt!
Wonderful quilt. It is so inspiring to see someone take the fabrics hanging around and produce a beautiful, useful quilt from them. Great job.
Hope you enter this beauty in Quilts Kingston 2018!
This is a gorgeous quilt. I can't believe you started without a plan. I love the way the symmetry of the colours makes your eyes keep moving. Very impressive.
