I have the blues....

Hi everyone,

The blues I have are in the form of quilt blocks! Lol!
Here are the blocks I made so far.
Twelve plus blocks

Twenty four spool blocks. I hope to have 30 blocks by the end of the month.

I also made some tiny 2 inch 9 patch blocks with crumbs.

I decided to turn 4 of these blocks into pincushion. I added a 1.5 inch border to these to make these pincushion. I was inspired by Crazy Mom Quilts to make these.

I filled these with crushed walnut shells. Two were machine quilted and two were hand quilted.

I hope you like these.

These are the good kind of blues to have! Your blocks looks good in the blues, too! I love those pincushions - it's fun following Crazy Mom's pincushion project - they are really fun to make.

The spool blocks and plus blocks are very nice but the pincushions are absolutely sweet. Too cute to use! You even quilted them all differently! I'm often tempted by Amanda to start making pincushions too .

I must have HSTs on the brain. I really like your spools. Cute nine patches, too. Where did your purchase the crushed walnut shells? Have you used them before? How do you like them? Lots of questions; perhaps it's another post.

Oh my - you are either crazy or have great vision, LOL. Those tiny nines and the resulting pin cushions are absolutely the CUTEST, though! All your blocks are great, of course, and I love those spools, too. I am about to shell bucketful of walnuts given to me by a friend last year, and I'm thinking maybe I should save and crush the shells. Just not sure how clean they'd be....
