Organizing my craft room.

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all well.
This past week, I started putting my craft room back together.
When my husband had his motorcycle accident last April,
all my craft stuff was removed from my room in order to make space for other furniture that had to be moved when my husband came home from the hospital.
Because he is getting better, we have returned a bunch of the medical equipment that he no longer needs. That freed up my craft room again. Yeah!!!
I brought in some new storage units for my craft supplies.
I wanted open storage, so that I could see what I have.

I got a cube storage unit similar to the Expedit unit from Ikea.
It has 16 cubes in it.
I have four of them organized now.

I made some inserts using foam core board to display my paints and threads.
I used this tutorial for my inspiration for those displays.
I also made an organizer for my ink pads.
I got the directions from this tutorial.

I also decorated the top a bit.

Don't you just love those hand carved wooden stamps!!

Well, its getting there.
I still have  lot to organize, but it's a start.

Hugs

It looks wonderful, Ariane. So neat, my sewing/craft area is in disarray right now as well. Hubby building a home theater and my area is right behind it, so everything is covered over, hopefully, the sanding is done and I'll be able to put it all back together. I love your stamp pad idea as well as the paints, I can never see what I have and end up buying more and ending up with like 5 or 6 black, 2 or 3 green. Ugh!! Thanks for the tuts too!! Wishing your hubby a speedy recovery too!!

I'm happy to hear that your husband is progressing! I'm sure it is hard for him to be a patient as well as having patience! Keep up the reorganizing - it looks great.

I bet it feels really good getting things reorganized and having a little bit of normality after the last few months. Glad to hear things are improving. ((hugs))
