Quilts Kingston 2012 - part 2

Wow! Another day of Quilts Kingston 2012 has past!!
It's been such a great show.
There are so many spectacular quilts!!

Here are a few more to peak your interest.

This quilt is stunning!!!
The picture does not do it justice.
When you walk up to the quilt, you think it is a panel or a painted quilt.
Then you get close and you realize all the applique and piecing and quilting.
The work in this quilt is so fine.
It's a work of art!!

This is another beautiful bed quilt.
I just love this sampler.
It's great to see all the different blocks work together.

This tiny mini quilt is amazing!!!
The colours are just wonderful and the hand piecing and quilting is too!!
Love, love it!!!

Now for the stunner of the show.
This picture does not do it justice.

We have been honoured to have this quilt part of the show.
Kathie Wylie is the feature artist of the show and has three quilts on display.
This quilt is unbelievably stunning.
I've had to stand guard of this one on Friday and Saturday,
making sure no one touches it with their bare hands.
The texture, and the beauty of the quilting just makes people want to touch it.
The applique is just.....WOW!!!!
People if you can get a chance to come and see this one in person,
it will knock your socks off!!!!!
And for only $6.00 to get in......it's worth it.

Everyone that sees it, is stunned at how beautiful it is.
Most people say they couldn't make this beautiful quilt in a lifetime.

So, tomorrow is the last day.
We are open from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Hugs

What a wonderful quilt show, that santa is definitely stunning and so much detail. I also like the apple core, I have that die and plan on making one.
