I finished my Old Tobacco Road quilt!!!

I am so excited that I finally finished this quilt. I initially started hand quilting it, but then decided that if I wanted it finished this year I should machine quilt it. So that's what I did. The quilting is simple, but I love how it turned out.
I tried to take pictures outside but it was too windy. I'm so happy with the way it turned out. It will look great on my sons bed. Thank you Bonnie Hunter for the amazing pattern!!!

My 365 Challenge Quilt progress

Hi everyone,
I've decided to participate in the 365 Challenge Quilt.
I started making the blocks and I'm all up to date.
Here are my blocks so far.

These are 3.5 inch blocks.
I'm using my blue scraps for all these blocks.
These are great to use up scraps.

I also made the January bonus block.
This one was more challenging.
It is also 3.5 inch block and will finish at 3 inches.

I am thinking of making these blocks again using some of my red and cream scraps.
The first 16 blocks are relatively simple and easy to make.
I am thinking of making the big quilt in blue
and using the red and cream blocks to make small table top quilts.
We will see what happens.

Some slow stitching and some pouches......

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all doing well.
I've been hand quilting my Old Tobacco Road quilt.
It's not a fast process as this is a queen size quilt.

I'm just doing some simple hand quilting following the rows and such.
But its going to be nice and soft when its done.

I made a few more pouches for Christmas gifts.
I just didn't have a chance to share them before now.
Here they are.

The first one below was for my daughters best friend.

The two hearts pouch was for my sons girlfriend.

The Fallout 4 boxy pouch was for my 20 year old son.

I had fun making all these little pouches.

I'm excited to get the quilting done on this quilt.

I'm linking with Slow Stitching Sunday.

Have a great day!!

Happy New Year!!!

Happy New Year Everyone!!!
I hope you are all well.
I wanted to end my year with an update
on my Old Tobacco Road quilt, designed by Bonnie K. Hunter.
I have the quilt top completed!!
Yeah!!

I actually have it sandwiched and I started hand quilting it.
I don't have a picture of that yet.
It's going to take me a little while to finish the quilting as this is a large quilt.
It measures 91 inches by 101 inches right now.
It will fit perfectly on my oldest sons bed.
He loves it too.
I love the border on this quilt.
It really pops!

I'm so glad that I got back into quilting this year.
I did get some of my ufo's done.
Plus I got a chance to work on some new projects.
I hope that 2016 is even more productive for me.
I look forward to seeing all the projects out there in blogland.

Happy New Year to everyone!!
