Christmas Quilt Show @ Sew Cal Gal

Hi everyone,

SewGalCal's is hosting a wonderful Christmas Quilt Show on her blog.

So, I decided to participate.
I don't have a big Christmas quilt.
But I do have a little project.

I'm entering my "Santa is Coming" table runner in the quilt show.

This is one of the free tutorials I made using my GO! Cutter Isosceles Die.
I just love this little table runner.
I really have fun coming up with this pattern.

Here are a few close-up's.
I hope you like the table runner.
The tutorial to make this can be found here.

Thanks SewGalCal for hosting this quilt show.

Don't forget to go check out all the other quilts in the show here.

There are many prizes to be won.
So, go enter your Christmas quilt.

Hugs

Santa is coming table runner!

Hi everyone!

I hope you are all having a wonderful day.

I know I said I would have another tutorial for you today,
but I just didn't have time to finish it.
I have to work a 12 hour night shift tonight and
I needed to get some sleep before I go in.

I did finish the table runner though.
So, I will show you those pictures.
This is my original design.
I hope you like it. I used the GO! Isosceles triangle die to make it.
This was more difficult then I had imagined.
I had to rip a lot of seams out in order to get it right.
That's why it's taking so long for me to finish the tutorial.
I had to make sure that I was going to be able to show you a way to get the triangles together without pulling you hair out like I did.
This will definitely be an intermediate pattern.

I really had fun with the quilting. The Santa faces are appliqued with fusible web. I used free motion quilting to stitch them down. I like the technique of quilting the fusible web appliques down, instead of stitching them before the quilting is done. This way you only sew them once and it's done. I used fabric from my stash to make this. I have another Christmas project in mind to bust more of my Christmas stash. The GO! Cutter is really helping me use up some of my fabric stash. I love that!!!

Well, don't forget about the GO! Cutter giveaway, on my previous post. Make sure you leave a comment on that post for a chance to win. I'm loving all the comments. It just brings a smile to my face knowing that I'm part of the process of giving a free GO! Cutter to someone. Thanks to Accuquilt for giving me this opportunity. It's just been so much fun.

Well, I have to get ready for work now. I need to leave by 6 pm. So, off I GO!

Hugs
