I finished a UFO!!! Yeah!!!

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all doing well.
I'm very excited to share a finish with you.
This is an old UFO from 2010.
I was participating in the Year of Schnibbles at the time and this was the February pattern.
I made mine a twin size quilt.
My three kids were in twin size beds at the time, so I thought it would be great to have another quilt this size. Too bad I never got it done. They are all in bigger beds now.
This quilt is not my best work. The piecing isn't perfect. But, I still love it.
I decided to quilt it very simply with straight lines on either side of the seams.
This quilt measures 66.5 inches x 94 inches long.
It will make the perfect cuddle quilt for my tall sons.
The backing fabric is a cotton twill that was given to me years ago.
Its soft and matches perfectly the colour scheme, so I decided to use it and get it out of my stash.

I'm so glad to have another UFO off my list.
On to pick the next UFO to work on.

My Buttermilk Basin 2016 Mystery

Hi everyone,

I'm behind on this WIP (work in progress). Today, I decided to prep my blocks so that they are ready to hand stitch. I really love these blocks and don't want to let this project drag too much. So here are all my blocks, including the ones I just prepped.
The last four blocks need to be stitched. I love how they all look. I hope you like them too. I'm plan to work on them when my husband and I are sitting watching tv together.

An original quilt in progress.

Hi everyone,

I've been working on a quilt I designed last weekend. This quilt is done from my stash. I really like that. I've been going through my scrap bins and getting scraps used. Here is the quilt top so far.

I really like how it's going so far. I need 11 more blocks than the centre can be put together. It's going to be a queen size quilt once I have all the borders on. I don't usually use this much yellow in a quilt. But, I'm liking it and it's going to suit the recipient.

I hope you like it.

A quilted table runner

I made myself a quilted table runner this past weekend. I used a charm pack that I had in my stash.

I also pulled out the Little Charmers pattern by Anka's Treasures that I've had in my stash for years and never used. I plan to make each of the table runners in the pattern. The first one I made has the snowball blocks. I didn't make it exactly like the pattern, but I still like it.

It was a little tricky because there wasn't a big mix of colors in this charm pack and I worried that it wouldn't look that great. But it turned out fine. I hope you like it too.
