En Provence quilt is finished

Hi everyone,

I have a finish for February, just in time. Haha!

I very simply quilted my En Provence quilt below.
This quilt is for my daughter. She loves a soft quilt and didn't want it densely quilted. So I kept it simple. I used the Philip Jacobs picotte poppies print and the lavina print separated by a solid purple strip for the backing. I used the same solid purple for the binding.
Haha! Had to add a puppy pic in there.

My En Provence quilt is a finished flimsy!!!

Yeah! I did it!
I got my En Provence quilt top completed. I'm so excited!

This is a big quilt, with a lot of pieces.
This is going to be for my daughter. She picked the colours I used. All the fabric came from my stash! Yeah! For stash busting!!
I'm not sure if I will quilt it myself yet. If I do, it will be simple quilting.

I'm so thankful to Bonnie K. Hunter for the amazing pattern. If you want to make this quilt, she sells the PDF pattern on her website http://quiltville.com/shop.html

En Provence progress....

I'm moving along quite well on this quilt. I have started sewing the rows together.
There are so many pieces to sew together. But the results are so amazing.
Here's a picture of my first two rows sewn together. I have the next two rows almost ready to add to this.
My daughter loves it so far.
So that makes me excited to work on it!!

Pincushions and En Provence progress...

Hi everyone,

I joined a pincushion swap and it started in January. My first pincushion made it to Janne in Norway. I made her a scrappy log cabin pincushion and a scrappy needle keeper.
Both of these were made with fabric in my crumb bin. Love it when I can use tiny pieces of fabric to make something useful.

I received a pincushion from Tanja. It's super cute. Here it is.
I love pincushions. I have a variety of them. I'm so excited to be able to add to my collection.

I've also been working on my En Provence quilt designed by Bonnie K. Hunter.

I have the 16 blocks done.

Now, I'm working on the sashing blocks. I still have quite a bit of sewing to do on this quilt. There are a lot of pieces in this quilt. Lol! But that's what makes it so special. I'm using only stash fabric and have not purchased any fabric for this quilt. Love it!

En Provence quilt progress...

Hi everyone,

The month is almost over. Time is just flying by. It's crazy!
I don't seem to be getting as much done as I want. But, I've been tired a lot lately, and I think it has a lot to do with the weather. It's been a mild January. We've had a lot of rain, instead of snow. It's been cloudy, humid and just plain crappy. I like snow. It brightens everything up.  The constant change in air pressure has caused me to get a lot of migraines.
Let's hope February is nicer.

Here's my progress of my En Provence quilt. I only have a picture of four blocks, but I have five blocks completed.
I changed the colours a bit from Bonnie's. This quilt is for my daughter, so I used colours she liked. I have five other blocks prepped. I'll keep working on it.

I was hoping to get more done, but life happens. I'm just glad this project is moving forward.
