I'm joining in with RSC2017 this year.
This month we are making purple blocks.
The first one I made used a 16 patch block I made a few years ago.
I added a border around it and hst's. I don't know a name for this block. It will finish at 12 inches.
I have also made three tiny spool blocks. I was so inspired by the recent finished spool quilts by other RSC participants that I had to start one for myself. This will be a long term project. But these little blocks are so cute. I love them.

You've got an amazing assortment of fabrics going on in your first block. And I too have started making spools (or two-sided kitten ears).
Purple's not my color but this is a really great scrap block -- for any color! Thanks for sharing it.

A small and a big block will keep you sewing with quilts for sooner and later. Best of all, so many scraps have been put to good use!

I've been sorely tempted by some of the tiny blocks.......there are some fabulous RSC challenge quilts from tiny blocks. Can't wait to see yours grow :)
I'm tempted by the little spool blocks, too! Just to make a few every now and then, and see where they lead. They look like fun! I like your 16 patch block, too - it is so interesting with the HSTs all around it!

The RSC is such a clever way to encourage us to use up scraps. I've joined in too but will only be making one project. I want to finish it! I really like the blocks you have chosen too.
