First Guild meeting of 2011-2012 season!!

Last night I attended the first meeting of the Limestone Quilters' Guild.
I took the leap this year and became a member of the executive.
I'm their webmaster.

It makes me a bit nervous, cause I'm not sure if what I'm doing is good.
But, I'm sure someone will let me know if I do something wrong. LOL!!!
You should check out the website.
I have added links to most of the Guilds in Ontario.
Many of these sites have free patterns that have been shared for BOM.
I had fun looking up the Guilds and find out which ones had active web sites.
It was also great inspiration for me too.

If you want to see some of the quilts that were brought in for Show & Tell, go check out the Guilds blog found here.

I really loved one of the quilts in particular.
Here it is.

I wish I had a picture of it all opened up properly.
It's just such a fun quilt. All the cats and dogs in many colors.
And check out the mini Dachshunds in the border.
Aren't they cute?

We had a guest speaker Mary Pal.
She has been featured in the Quilting Arts Magazine and Show.
Her work is just stunning.
If you have never seen her work, check out her website.

Well, I work all weekend.
So, I don't know how much sewing I will get done.
But, I will try.

Have a good night.

Hugs

Way to put your hand up Ariane. Having been on the exec multiple times in more than one guild, I can honestly say it is a great experience and a wonderful way to support your guild. I'm sure the other members were so relieved that you would be webmaster!!

I love that doggie quilt, too and have taken photos of other versions of that pattern at shows. I'm partial to the mini weenies in the border of this one!

I bet all the members will love you being Webmaster! You will do a great job.

I checked out Mary Pal's website - huh, that's different. I bet she was fun to have and you probably learned a few things.

The doggie quilt is too cute. Looks like it was fun.

Oh, I almost forgot. I did your triangle in a square and boy did it work great! I posted about it today. Thanks so much!!!
