Sew, I haven't blogged in over a week.
I pinched my sciatic nerve in my lower back, and I've been kind of taking it easy.
I did work on my hexagon star quilt last week.
I have 9 rows of 17 stars sewn together.
This quilt top is all sewn by hand.
It is really long, and it's hard to take pictures of it.
It's the size of a twin quilt now.
But, it's going to be a queen size whenever I get it all done.
This quilt has every different style of fabric.
It's like a story quilt about all the different fabrics that I have purchased since I started quilting.
I really love it.
I hope you like it too.
Hugs

I just love the quilt! It's so beautiful and so much hard work is going in it! I can't wait to see it finished! I hope you get to feeling better soon!
Robin :)
I do love it! I've been doing lots of quilts lately that have man different fabrics in them - there's just something about being able to touch all those fabrics and actually be using them, and not just "petting" them!!!
(We sound like a perverted bunch, don't we??)
I like that you are hand piecing, too!

Is this masterpiece going to be hand quilted, too?

I was just thinking of you today and realizing that it had been awhile since I "heard" from you. I almost emailed Michele to see if you were ok. I am sorry to learn that you are not ok! I hope your nerve problem gives you some relief soon. You have made so much progress on your quilt! It's amazing!
What a beautiful quilt. I love doing hexagons, it is a great project to do in your lap while you recover and a great feeling to see it evolve.

I love your hexagon star quilt! I appreciate the work that went into it, having just picked up making hexagon flowers myself. The idea of your quilting history in the fabrics is wonderful. Hope you feel better!

Hahaha. I'm guessing someone is an over-achiever at heart! :)
Love this piece. Reminds me of Cathedral window quilting, but friendlier.I need to try my hand at quilting again some time. It's been a while. I see work like this and get all dreamy about calico. *sigh*
