Hi everyone,
I hope you all had a great day.
I am off work this weekend.
It was so nice out the last two days, and I was working.
Now, I'm off and it's raining.
I really shouldn't complain, since there has been so many natural disasters this year.
With the earth quake in Japan, flooding in Quebec and Manitoba, flash fires in Alberta, Tornadoes in the US, it's been a really crazy year for bad weather.
My prayers are with everyone going through those hard times.
Today, I finally finished my Carpenter's Star quilt top.
I tried to take a good picture of it, but it was so windy and wet.
I managed to go out when the rain stopped for a bit.
It's 96 inches square.
So, now I just have to get it quilted.
What do you think?
Hugs
It's gorgeous! I have just purchased an Baby GO and am excited about using it. This is some great inspiration!
ReplyDeleteThat is one beautiful quilt. Is it for yourself or are you giving it away. I have been quilting off and on for about 15 years and I still haven't done one for my bed. Love to see more pictures when quilted.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful finish! The border really is a nice complement to the star.
ReplyDeleteIt is absolutely stunning! Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteWhat do I think? I think it's awesome!
ReplyDeleteI love it, Ariane. I love the colors and the design is beautiful. It is raining right now here in NW Pennsylvania. It's been raining off and on all day. The town where I work got hit last night with an F1 tornado, mostly downed trees and some roof damage. Thank goodness it didn't hit the Post Office where I work!! Prayers go out to everyone in Joplin MO, Tuscaloosa AL, the Midwest US, and everywhere else where all these tornadoes are causing death and destruction.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful! I want to do one of these now.
ReplyDeleteJust awesome!!!
ReplyDeleteLooking great Ariane. It'll be beautiful once it's quilted too!

ReplyDeleteYou were quick putting this together, but I guess when a quilter has a bee in her bonnet she flies with it - great finish. It should come up beautifully when quilted!!!
