A new book and some fat quarters!

I hope you all had a great day. I am off work today. I decided to go to a local quilt shop that was having a store wide sale. I bought 8 fat quarters from the Buggy Barn Folk Art collection. I love this collection. I also bought four other fat quarters that were on sale for $1.88. I do plan to buy more of the Buggy Barn fabric. I just can not spend too much right now. I am on a tight budget.

I also went to Chapters to buy the book One Yard Wonders. I had been planning to buy this book since I saw it before Christmas at Chapters. So, I put money aside to get it. I love it. It has so many patterns in it. I was looking through the book tonight with my daughter and I know of a bunch of patterns that we will make together. I am very excited.

I haven`t done a lot of sewing this week. I did make two blocks for my guild block exchange and I forgot to take pictures of them. I was really disappointed. I did love the one block that I made. Maybe I can make myself another one, then show you. Well, that is all for today.

  5. If you are sharing it with your daughter....it doesn't count as fabric.

  6. Those Buggy Barn fabrics are to die for! I love the colors and the prints. I know what you mean about being on a tight budget for quilting. I haven't been to a quilt shop and picked up fabric in some time. It's the pits I tell ya! The book looks like it will be a lot of fun!

  8. I love that line from Buggy Barn. The local quilt shop here has ordered it for me and I am looking forward to sewing with it. I am going to make the Henry Glass (free project) Folk Art favourite with it...I just cut out a project with the "Buggy Barn, In the Pink"...Long overdue but fabric does not spoil...
    Happy Sewing!

  9. I have been wondering about that book. It looks like I am going to need to get it. I have one of your blocks, so I can take a picture if you want. I wanted both of them but thought that would be greedy.
