Hi everyone,
I did some quilting and hand stitching binding today.
It allowed me to finish this scrappy table runner.
I started piecing this table runner in June.
It is all hand pieced from a kite shape.
I did not use English paper pieces.
Just old fashion tracing of a template, cut it out the pieces with scissors and used a quarter inch seam to piece the shapes together.
Here's a picture below of some of the piecing I did in Cuba on my holiday.
I decided to use a large floral print for the backing.
I free motion quilted in on my Janome 1600p-db sewing machine.
I really love how this table runner turned out.
This one is mine and I'm keeping it.

A lovely testament to your scraps!
This runner is soooo lovely. You inspire me to try, but I have to use my sewing machine for this. I have already too many EPP projects going on.
You have such a good eye for colour/pattern placement Ariane. This would look amazing as a whole quilt. Those scraps are dwindling fast. A lovely project.
Beautiful! You have a way with scraps.
I love it! It is gorgeous and would be a fun project for evenings. I might consider making one too.
I haven't see a hand pieced project done by some in forever! It really did turn out beautifully. Thanks for sharing with Oh Scrap!
This is lovely! In fact, it makes me start pondering what excuse (or scraps) I might have to make one.
Beautiful fabric combinations. You had a holiday in Cuba--what was that like?
What a great way to use up all those yummy scraps.
Looks great, lovely colours and quilting. Inspiring, might have to give this a go sometime.
That is one lovely table runner. Once I really perused it carefully I have a great ruler that will cut that shape. I made table topper with one of those stars. Love the idea of putting several together. MUST copy this idea! Thanks for the inspiration.
Love.
